Wounded Warriors Of South Florida

Results are Final in The Great Charity Challenge Event and Here is the Plan for Disbursing the Funds We Won!

Wounded Warriors of South Florida finished the Equestrian Competition in 14th Place out of 34 Charities competing in the Event on February 1, 2014.  Our Sponsor, The Crown Family, matched our Grant of $25,500 so the total came to $51,000.  All for our Mission of assisting Wounded Warriors of South Florida.  Specifically, since our funds were between $50,000 and $100,000 we will now be able to provide funds for installing adequate replacements for appliances that are out of date and in need of constant repairs for Wounded Warriors homes.   In addition, since we received over $50,000 we will look for ways to purchase essential USED vehicles required for work transportation for a Wounded Warrior and his family rather than repairing a vehicle that is constantly at risk of a break down which interferes with work or medical appointment transportation and contributes to stress in already stressful situations.  Many of our Wounded Warriors are dealing with PTSD and TBI as a result of their injuries.  Our goal to assist Wounded Warrior families to live comfortably so that they can focus on their transition back to productive civilian life will remain paramount.

Our thanks to Equestrian Sports Productions, LLC for the outstanding work they do in awarding over $2 million dollars in 2014 to Palm Beach County Charities.
